SCOPE chapter of Local Democracy
Local democracy is the self-government of cities, towns, villages and districts by democratic means—typically, through members and local officials.
Pakistani Governance model is very centralised and its local democracy is in infancy and need structural improvements.
SCOPE Aims to assist in capacity building and knowledge transfer of local democracy and governance in capacity building and reforming processes to ensure devolution of power.
SCOPE intends to :
Engage the Swedish and Scandinavian governments for learning from their best practices in establishing social welfare system.
Proposing structural improvements in processes and way of working for local democracy to ensure devolution of power.
Assistance in setting up Exchange programs for capacity building of Pakistani institution and stakeholders of Local democracy.
